Volunteers hosted a dinner to feed and thank linemen from varying electric cooperatives who worked long shifts to repair downed electric lines and restore power after Monday and Tuesday's snow.
Equipment and plans sit at a desk in the "war room" on Wednesday at Boone Electric Cooperative. Linemen worked overtime to repair damage caused by Tuesday's storm.

Many volunteers helped serve food at the event organized by Spry. The dinner was held to recognize the efforts of linemen who have been working up to 16 hours a day after the snow storm to restore power to thousands of members.
