Missouri’s head coach Wilbur "Sparky" Stalcup diagrams a play for assistant coach Thornton Jenkins, middle, and freshman coach Paul Geyman. Jenkins was an assistant coach from 1957 to 1963. He also played for Missouri from 1941 to 1943 and 1946 to 1948, and served in the Army during World War II in between. He officiated the 1966 NCAA men's basketball championship between Texas Western and Kentucky, which was significant because Texas Western's all-black starting lineup beat Kentucky's all-white starting lineup. The 2006 movie "Glory Road" was based on the game.
