MU veterinarian Lydia Cook, right, talks about using microchips to locate lost pets at Bella's Pet Carnival on Sunday outside the MU Animal Science Building. "Microchips help identify pets using a small chip inserted under the dog and cat's skin," Cook said. "These chips are read by a scanner and display a number linked to the owners' contact information."
