MAP: City Council approves changes to Providence Road

July 2, 2013 | 5:32 p.m. CDT
The Columbia City Council recently approved changes to Providence Road between MU and the Grasslands neighborhood. The council voted to remove a stoplight at Rollins Street and install two new stoplights at Turner Avenue and at Burnam Road and Burnam Avenue. The lights, along with an extended right turn lane from Providence onto Stadium Boulevard, are intended to improve the flow of traffic to better allow Grasslands residents to enter and leave their neighborhood. A sidewalk along Burnam Road and a median between Burnam and Rollins on Providence will also be installed.
