War refugee Nene Rwenyaguza prays

Nene Rwenyaguza prays Dec. 1, 2011, at First Baptist Church in Columbia. Rwenyaguza set foot on American soil for the first time Nov. 4, 2008, the day that the United States elected its first African-American president. Rwenyaguza immigrated to St. Louis as a war refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo, and he moved to Columbia in December 2009 to preach for the African congregation at First Baptist Church.
