Kite enthusiasts celebrate One Sky One World

October 14, 2007 | 12:00 a.m. CDT
Roy White flies his white kite made from trashbags at the One Sky One World kite flying event at Cosmo-Bethel Park on Sunday, October 13th. Every second Sunday in October, kites all around the world are flown to promote world peace.
This is the third time Columbia has held a One Sky One World event. Kite flying clubs come in from Jefferson City, St. Louis and Kansas City to celebrate world peace and get children interested in kite flying. "That's why we are out here today, for kids," said White.
