The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is introducing a new statewide assessment beginning in the 2014-15 school year. The Missouri State Board of Education approved an $18 million increase in test funding for next year, more than double what is budgeted for the test this year. The additional funds are for a higher contract price from the test providers, online delivery of the assessments, development, teacher resources and additional interim exams.
