Columbia Police Department purchases tactical armored vehicle

The Columbia Police Department purchased the BearCat G2 for $227,587. This vehicle is designed
for emergency response and rescue, as well as assault or counter-assault. Sgt. Lance Bolinger of the
Columbia Police Department said it will be used in Columbia only for high-risk operations and for
display at events.
