Dying white oak tree at Baskett

A white oak tree is dying at the Baskett Wildlife Research and Education Center in Ashland in this photo taken Oct. 22. The tree has a bleeding canker which can result from bacterial wetwood, insect injury or other types of mechanical injury to the trunk.
