Diana was nominated as a local hero by the Mid-Missouri Susan G. Komen for the Cure. She was recognized at the BMW Drive for the Cure at Joe Machens BMW in Columbia, Mo, May 24, 2007. Participants test drive new BMW's and for every mile driven, BMW donates one dollar. The goal is to raise one million dollars nationwide. Diana has been fighting cancer since 2004 and says her goal is to "educate women." She says cancer has changed the way she looks at life and has inspired her to give more of her time volunteering and giving back.
