Shanice Clark , 14

Shanice was the first one to arrive on the first day of her training and was early every day of the week. Self-described as shy, when called on she answered quietly and read intently anything given to her by her development specialists.

Shanice is going into ninth grade this fall at Oakland Junior High School and likes English and social studies. She lives with her mom, a nurse technician, and is close to her grandmother. She says that she never gets into trouble.

Her career goals include going to college to be a nurse. For now, she just wants a job that will keep her busy.
