Mike GibbonsMike Gibbons, 49, of Kirkwood, is the 15th District state senator and Senate president pro tem. He also is a former member of the Kirkwood City Council and served in the Missouri House of Representatives for eight years. Gibbons has said he wants to bring a people- and family-oriented approach to the attorney general's office and "focus on justice, not on headlines." He has proposed the creation of a special unit to focus on Internet crimes. He says he would crack down on illegal immigration, emphasize consumer protection and refuse to accept political contributions from attorneys or law firms that might compete for contracts with the state. |
