Mitchell (Mitch) HubbardMitch Hubbard, 35, manages a McDonald's restaurant in Fulton. He became interested in the secretary of state's office while working with Missourians Against Human Cloning in 2006. The group fought against a constitutional amendment allowing all federally legal types of stem cell research to occur in Missouri. That issue passed, but Hubbard and his group challenged the ballot language as unfair and misleading. Hubbard said he would be sure to craft fair ballot language. He also wants to eliminate voter fraud. He supports requiring voters to present government-issued identification at the polls and opposes mail-in balloting. He also supports existing state laws that require people who want to cast an absentee ballot to present reasons why they cannot vote on election days. |
