Stephens College junior Haley Caldwell tore her ACL in October 2008. Despite the injury, Caldwell remains a versatile threat when playing shortstop for the Stars, and she also leads the team in stolen bases this season.

John Uhlig, a World War II veteran who was stationed in the Samar province with the Navy in 1945, is flying to Washington, D.C., to visit the World War II Memorial. Uhlig said it will be his first visit to the memorial.
John Uhlig, a World War II veteran, is flying to Washington, D.C., as part of the Honor Flight program to visit the National World War II Memorial. In 1945, Uhlig was in the Navy and was stationed in Samar, a province in the Philipines.
