Dedication of Arvarh E. Strickland Hall [Audio]
At 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, Arvarh E. Strickland, professor emeritus of history at MU, was honored in the renaming of the General Classroom Building. The building is now Arvarh E. Strickland Hall. It is the first building on campus named for an African American.
Kite clubs come to Columbia [Video]
On Oct. 14, kite clubs from Kansas City, St. Louis and Jefferson City met at Cosmo-Bethel Park in Columbia as part of the One Sky One World kite festival. One Sky One World is an international organization that promotes peace and friendship throughout the world through kite flying.
