Brett Nicholas, a junior utility player for Missouri, played as a freshman at Gonzaga where he was put in left field with little hope of trying different positions. So he left the Bulldogs to seek a better experience and played a year of junior college ball before coming to MU.
Kimberly Smith, a 20-year-old Columbia College student, was found dead in a house in Troy. Law enforcement officials say she most likely was a victim of a murder-suicide.
