The big move — by bike [Video]

Volunteers gathered at the home of Ian Thomas to help move cabinets, chairs and other office supplies from his home office to the new PedNet office at 101 N. Seventh St. in Columbia on Friday. Coalition staff and about 20 volunteers moved five home offices to the organization's new location, using only bikes, backpacks and bike trailers.

Columbia's alley issue [Video]

City Manager Bill Watkins ventured out into two downtown alleys with Missourian reporters last week. He examined the alley between Broadway and Cherry Street and an alley behind Wabash Station at Tenth and Ash streets. Watkins pointed out pros and cons of developing businesses in both alleys.
