NRT Environmental Violations

Here's a look at environmental health code violations discovered by the city's Neighborhood Response Teams in 2012. Abbreviations in the legend are ONO1/ONO2/ONO3, which represent vehicle-related violations; ONO5, which represents weed violations; and ONO6, which represents problems such as trash, debris or indoor furniture outside the home.

Here's a look at the status of cases involving property maintenance code violations discovered by the city's Neighborhood Response Team in 2012. These can include broken windows, peeling paint, sagging porches and other problems. Cases are classified as AC, active cases; CL, closed cases; or CM, compliant cases.

City emails regarding air service

Here is a PDF of all the emails the Missourian received in response to a Sunshine request for correspondence between and among Mayor Bob McDavid, City Manager Mike Matthes and representatives of various airlines regarding passenger air service at Columbia Regional Airport. The request sought documents from Jan. 1, 2012, through Nov. 26, 2012. A total of 160 emails, some of them repetitive, were received. The document spans 270 pages.

City presentation to United Airlines

Here is a PDF of a presentation Columbia officials made to United Airlines representatives during an April 23 meeting in Chicago to discuss the possibility of passenger air service between Columbia Regional Airport and Chicago O'Hare International Airport. The presentation was attached to an April 18 email from City Manager Mike Matthes to Mayor Bob McDavid, MU Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services Jacquelyn Jones, and Greg Steinhoff of Veterans United Home Loans. Draft United Airlines contract 2

Here is a PDF of a second draft contract between the city of Columbia and United Airlines for passenger air service between Columbia Regional Airport and Chicago O'Hare International Airport. The contract was never signed. It was attached to a Sept. 7 email from City Manager Mike Matthes to Public Works Director John Glascock, Airport Manager Don Elliott and Mayor Bob McDavid. The contract was first delivered to Matthes by Martin Kammerman, senior manager for market analysis at United. Readers can find both emails in a separate PDF filed with this story.
