Sandra Menia, 11, from Mr. Keenoy's fifth-grade class at Paxton Keeley Elementary said her favorite thing she learned this year was “about famous Americans.”

Zoey Montgomery, 5, from Ms. Winkler's kindergarten class at Blue Ridge Elementary school said her favorite things she learned this school year were "P.E. because it's fun and the days of the week."

When asked what the coolest part about this school year was, Jeff Painter, 8, from Ms. Thompson's second-grade class said "music. Just music."

Joshua Palmer, 7, from Ms. Donnelly's first-grade class at Parkade Elementary School said “tigers are awesome” when asked to say what was the coolest thing he learned this year.

Alissa Wilhite, 10, from Ms. Eaton's fifth-grade class at Cedar Ridge Elementary said, "I liked P.E. Soccer was my favorite."

Jaymond Shabaka, 9, from Ms. Bentrop's third-grade class at Blue Ridge Elementary School answered, "division. I kinda liked that, and we learned it kinda recently" when asked what the coolest thing he learned this year was.

Alexis Swon, 6, from Ms. Winkler's kindergarten class at Blue Ridge Elementary School said "math because I like to write numbers" was the coolest thing she learned this year.

Basil VanPool

Basil VanPool, 10, from Mr. Hurtado's fourth-grade class at Blue Ridge Elementary School said the coolest thing he learned this year was, "weather and the effects of weather in science. Mostly because we got to make models, and you got to pour a half gallon of water in it."

Dina Kaissi is a junior at Stephens College and plays tennis. She will be interning this summer with cardiologist James Januzzi at Massachusetts General, if she passes her Medical School Admissions Test on May 30.
