Donn Upp and Joe Ely now host guided tours and operate Rivercene Mansion year-round as a bed-and-breakfast. The construction of Rivercene Mansion was started in 1864 and completed in 1869. 2014 marks the 150th anniversary of the property. The mansion is 12,000 square feet and has 10 bedrooms. This fall, Rivercene will temporarily be transformed into Ridgecliffe Manor. Upp plans to take the setting from his horror novels and intertwine it with actual events from the Kinney family history.

Kelli Hine and Tracy Dong lost 8-3 in the No. 3 set. Cassidy Spearman and Madison Rhyner dropped the No. 2 set 8-6. And, in what is becoming a familiar story for top doubles duo Cierra Gaytan-Leach and Rachel Stuhlmann, their 7-3 lead was for naught.

Parents from the Student Parent Center, located at the University Village apartment complex, circulated a petition on Friday in Speakers Circle at MU to relocate the day care after an announcement of its future closure. The campaign aims to gain support from the community and get the word out about how important the day care is for students, faculty and staff who are parents. No future plans have been announced for the day care center.
