In2Action is a Christian-based recovery house in north Columbia that helps former inmates stay out of prison. In2Action provides safe and affordable housing and helps offenders apply for work or enroll in school. The house is a network of support in which the men of the In2Action house engage in dialogue, do chores and pray together.

True/False Film Fest volunteers prepared the box office for the film festival on Wednesday. The theme for the box office this year is "Magic realism."
Gracie Gold, a former MU High School attendee, competed in the Olympics short program on Wednesday. She finished fourth.

Dale and Lee Weiss have been married for 63 years. Dale recently lost a ring Lee gave to him for their 25th anniversary. Their granddaughter has posted a Craigslist ad, and they have talked managers at the stores they visited on the day it was lost.

Local residents and students meet for the public hearings at the Columbia City Council meeting. Public hearings included discussion for the CoMo Connect transit project and a tax increment financing district.
In the month of February students and staff at Battle High School prepared for its first courtwarming dance, hosted a cheer clinic and lost a basketball game to Fr. Tolton High School. Students turned out to shoot in league trap play one snowy Sunday, and AP art students developed their talents at watercolor painting in school. At night lead custodian, Deanna Maggine, scrubs the marks of the day away to prepare for the next morning.
Unexpectedly high temperatures in Russia have prompted thick fog to roll into the mountains around the Laura Cross-country Ski & Biathlon Center and snowboarding runs in Krasnaya Polyana. The dense fog created visibility problems for competitors, workers and volunteers prompting organizers to delay the biathlon race for the second time and cancel the seeding runs in a snowboard event.
State Rep. Chris Kelly, D-Columbia, has filed legislation to legalize medical and recreational use of marijuana in Missouri. This issue has been addressed by many states in recent years, but legalization has only happened in Colorado and Washington state. Kelly's legislation borrows language from an initiative by Show-Me Cannabis Regulation and would enforce many of the same restrictions on marijuana as alcohol.

Missouri beat Tennessee 75-70 Saturday afternoon with a late-game defensive stop for the second consecutive game.
Battle High School held its first Courtwarming Dance on Friday. Eli White, a Battle student, was crowned Courtwarming king that night.
Attendees of One Wall, One Mizzou rallied to show support for Michael Sam, forming a line in response to Westboro Baptist Church. The event was organized on Facebook, and has more than 5,000 users confirmed as "Going."
Wynna Faye Elbert, who was well known in the Columbia community for her involvement in advancing civil rights, died Sunday. Her funeral was held Saturday at the Missouri United Methodist Church.
