Injured firefighter

Columbia Fire Lt. Doug Thoma suffered burns to his right hand while fighting a fire Tuesday morning. He is reported to be doing well after minor grafting procedures Tuesday afternoon at the George Peak Memorial Burn Center, according to a news release from the Columbia Fire Department. Thoma was expected to be released from the burn center Wednesday.
