"In the Heart of the Ozarks," lent anonymously to the museum, is an oil on canvas that was painted by Thomas P. Barnett, an American ( 1870-1929), in 1925. It represents “winter as the painter would like to feel winter,” said Adrienne Walker Hoard, MU professor of art and color theory.
