Columbia firefighters practice ice rescues

Lt. Klifton Bullard, center, of the Columbia Fire Department instructs other firefighters on the techniques they will use during an ice rescue training exercise outside of Bass Pro Shop on Wednesday afternoon. The warmer temperatures that followed the bitter cold last week afforded the firefighters perfect conditions to conduct ice rescue training for the first time in more than two years.
