CoMo Flash Mob makes signs to attract Google

Members of a group trying to attract the attention of Google plan to participate in a flash mob during the Missouri men's basketball game against Kansas at 1 p.m. Saturday. The group, known as CoMo Flash Mob, plans to conduct the event during the first timeout of the second half. A flash mob is when a large group of people quickly organizes some sort of collective activity, such as a dance party or chant. The group met Friday at the Academy of Fine Arts to construct signs for the event. The goal of the flash mob is to help convince Google to bring fiber-optic Internet to Columbia.
