Thurman L. Martin
Thurman L. Martin of Hartsburg died Friday, June 19, 2009. He was 85.
He was born May 30, 1924, in Boone County to Wayne D. and Dorothy Pauley Martin.
Mr. Martin served in the Army during World War II. He married Gladys Woods on May 10, 1947, in Ashland.
He was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Hartsburg. He loved farming and did it all of his life.
Mr. Martin is survived by his wife; a son, Leon Martin of Hartsburg; a daughter, Linda Nahler of Hartsburg; two sisters, Mildred Pauley and Helen Nichols, both of Ashland; and a grandson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, June 22, at Robinson Funeral Home, 601 N. Henry Clay Blvd. in Ashland. Services will be held at 11 a.m Tuesday, June 23, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
