Wayne L. Wiles remembered for love of animals, MU Tigers
Wayne L. Wiles of Columbia died at his home Sunday, June 21, 2009. He was 78.
He was born May 12, 1931 in Greenville, Ohio, to George and Mildred Wiles.
He married Mary Ann DeLong on Nov. 24, 1962, in Lansing, Mich. He was a member of the Three Dollar Golf Club and loved animals, gardening and the Mizzou Tigers.
Mr. Wiles is survived by his wife; a son, James D. Wiles of Columbia; a grandson, Justin Wiles of Columbia; two brothers, George Wiles and Gerald Wiles, both of Ohio; and a cousin, Kenneth Miley of Kentucky.
His sister, Jane Marker, and brother, Robert Wiles, died earlier.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m on Thursday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. Graveside service will follow at 11:30 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
