Dorothy Irene Snodgrass
Dorothy Irene Snodgrass of Ashland died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009. She was 78.
She was born Feb. 10, 1931, in Elvins to Charles William and Mary Christine Elizabeth (Huggins) Penberthy.
She married James Victor Snodgrass in Piggott, Ark., on April 1, 1952.
Mrs. Snodgrass worked for the state of Missouri for 26 years. She belonged to the Ashland Garden Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Lynn Nichols of Ashland; sister, Helen McCabe of Winchester, Kan.; two brothers, Paul Penberthy of Ste. Genevieve and Larry Penberthy of Paris, Mo.; four grandchildren, Tracy Bowman of Ashland, Kevin Nichols of Virginia Beach, Va., Kristen Wilkins of St. Cloud, Minn., and Samantha Snodgrass of Fulton.
Her husband; son, James Michael Snodgrass; and one brother, Leo Robert Penberthy, died earlier.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
