Cory L. Bryan

ST. PETERS — Cory L. Bryan of St. Peters died in a single-car accident as he was exiting Interstate 70 in St. Louis County on Monday, Nov. 9, 2009. He was 35.

Mr. Bryan was born June 10, 1974, in Mexico, Mo., to Donald and Patricia (Clem) Bryan. He married Rachel (Elmore) Bryan in 1996 in Columbia. They had two children, Kyle, 7, and Rebecca, 5.

He graduated from Paris High School in 1992 and later earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from MU and a master's in business administration from Washington University.

Mr. Bryan worked as a senior associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in St. Louis for three years, and he joined Emerson Electric in St. Louis as a manager for corporate accounting in 1999.

Mr. Bryan was an active member of Calvary Church in St. Peters and a den leader for Cub Scout Pack 936 in St. Charles.

Mr. Bryan is survived by his wife; children; parents; three brothers, Donald Bryan Jr. of Clark, Andrew Bryan of Palmyra and Jody Bryan of LaGrange; a grandmother, Rose Mealy of Paris, Mo.; and two aunts, Penny Anderson and Dorothy Snell.

His grandparents Glenn and Gladys Bryan, Alva Clem and Bill Mealy died earlier.

Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Paris, Mo., followed immediately by services, with the Rev. Wesley Hammond officiating. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Church in St. Peters.

In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund has been established for Kyle and Rebecca Bryan through U.S. Bank in St. Peters, 1 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, MO 63376.
