Arthur L. Roberts
Arthur L. Roberts of Beatrice, Neb., died Sunday, July 18, 2010. He was 63 years old.
Mr. Roberts was born June 1, 1947, in Columbia to Zimrai and Ruby Jewell Roberts.
He married Theresa “Diane” Steelman on Nov. 26, 1966.
Mr. Roberts worked for city transfer and delivery in Columbia for 15 years. Later, he worked for 3M in machine maintenance. He retired in 2003 after 28 years and moved to Beatrice, Neb.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, training horses and watching Westerns.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Diane; two sons, Gene Roberts and Shane Roberts of Beatrice, Neb.; a daughter, Theresa Forsee of Beatrice, Neb.; two brothers, Lester Wilhit of Columbia and Jim Roberts of Mexico, Mo.; three sisters, Carol Baker of Columbia, Ruth Ann Bradshaw of Mexico, Mo., and Donna Sue Fox of Springfield; and 12 grandchildren.
His parents, six brothers, four sisters and an infant granddaughter died earlier.
A prolonged visitation is set for 1 p.m. Wednesday until the time of the services at 10 a.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home, 1116 N. 19th St., Beatrice, NE 68310. Burial will be at Blue Springs Cemetery in Blue Springs, Neb.
