James R. Pringle of Columbia died Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, at his home. He was 57.
He was born on Jan. 4, 1953, in Columbia to Oran and Billie Hanson Pringle.
*Mr. Pringle was a talented jewelry designer, musician and artist and subcontractor for KT Diamond Jewelers in Columbia.
Oran Pringle said his son learned about art and jewelry from his uncle, who was an art professor at MU.
"He was very motivated towards his work and his jewelry making," his father said.
Mr. Pringle was also a devoted member of the Newman Center, a Roman Catholic community.
Oran Pringle said his son was very outgoing.
"He had friends all over town," he said. "Everybody liked him."
Mr. Pringle is survived by his parents; two children, Emily Ann Pringle of Kansas City and Michael Allen Pringle of Columbia; a brother, Allan Pringle; and a sister, Becky Pringle.
A sister, Billie Pringle II, died earlier.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the St. Thomas More Newman Center, 602 Turner Ave., followed by a burial at Memorial Park Cemetery, 1217 Business Loop 70 W.
