Roger Dean Campbell

Roger Dean Campbell of Ashland died at his home on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010. He was 59.

Mr. Campbell was born on May 3, 1951, in Warrensburg to Kenneth and Verla Jean Fox Campbell. He married Cynthia Harrison on Oct. 18, 1991, in Ashland.

Though Mr. Campbell worked as a truck driver for Remsel Corporation, his real passions were golf and choir practice with a local group.

"He's been golfing for 20 years," his daughter Becky Tipton said.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; two children, Eric Smith of Columbia and Becky Tipton of Milan, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Tanner, Tyler and Tucker Tipton of Milan.

Mr. Campbell's parents and sister, Verla Jones, died earlier.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at Robinson Funeral Home in Ashland. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Hartsburg. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made to the grandchildren's scholarship fund in care of the family.
