Charles "Chuck" Wilms
Charles "Chuck" Wilms of Columbia died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010. He was 68.
Mr. Wilms was born Nov. 30, 1941, in St. Louis to Charles Edward and Elizabeth Birnstill Wilms. He was married to Karen Anderson on June 13, 1992, in Fayette.
Mr. Wilms loved life and lived it to the fullest, his family said. He served on the Board of Directors at The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri (previously known as Central Missouri Food Bank). He was also an active member of Weekend P.O.E.T.S.
Mr. Wilms is survived by his wife, Karen Anderson; four children, Jennifer Contiliano of Stewartville, N.J., Barbara Ann Dibben of Columbia, Charles E. Wilms III of Fulton, and Andrea Lynn Myers of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; two brothers, Dr. Douglas Wilms of North Carolina and Dr. Wayne Wilms of St. Louis; a sister, Eileen Buermann of N.Y.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents died earlier.
The service will be held at a later date.
