Earl Smarr
Earl Smarr of Columbia died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, at Boone Hospital Center. He was 82.
Mr. Smarr was born on Aug., 28, 1928, in Boone County to Aubert and Irene Anderton Smarr. He married Jo Ann Daly on March 16, 1956, in Columbia.
Mr. Smarr retired from the Air Force and worked as a building contractor in Columbia. He greatly loved and idolized his family.
Mr. Smarr is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Smarr; three sons, Bruce Smarr, Dennis Smarr and wife, Juanita, and Andrew Smarr and wife, Lisa; seven grandchildren, Charles Smarr, Jordan Smarr, Zach Dooley, Ashley Bain, Kyle Smarr, Takoda Smarr and Kaylee Smarr; and three great-grandchildren, Audrey Bain, Ava Bain and Scott Lee Bain.
A son, James Earl Smarr, died earlier.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with burial following at Memorial Park Cemetery.
