Lee Edward "Ed" Brown
Lee Edward "Ed" Brown of Columbia died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at Boone Hospital Center. He was 73.
Mr. Brown was born Jan. 12, 1937, in Fortuna to Owen and Mabel Brown. He served in the Army in Korea as a diesel mechanic. He married Donna Schreck in Tipton on July 7, 1962. They moved to Columbia, where Mr. Brown retired after 30 years as a diesel mechanic for the city of Columbia.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Jim E. Brown, and his wife, Shannon; two grandchildren, Justus and Joshua Brown; and a brother, Charles L. Brown and wife, Evelyn, all of Columbia.
His parents; a sister, Sarah Jane Palmer; and brother-in-law, Larry Palmer, died earlier.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Parker Funeral Service & Crematory, 22 N. Tenth St. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, 1479 County Road 1675, Jacksonville, MO 65260.
