Kristen Leigh Hornig
COLUMBIA — Kristen Leigh Hornig of Columbia died at University Hospital on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011. She was 26.
She was born March 9, 1984, to Ruth Storvick and Elmer Hornig.
She is survived by her mother and father; a sister, Sarah Maikath; a brother, David Hornig; grandparents, Ilse Hornig and Truman and Lynn Storvick; aunts and uncles, Rick and Doris Truetken, Barbara Hornig, Karin Hornig, Kris and Dan Burg, Dave and Angie Storvick and Jan Storvick; and cousins.
Ms. Hornig’s grandfather George Hornig died earlier.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1600 W. Rollins Road, followed by fellowship in the church hall.
Donations may be made to Ms. Hornig’s favorite cause, The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, on their website.
