COLUMBIA — Mae Robinson of Columbia died Wednesday, March 2, 2011. She was 85.
She was born March 24, 1925, in Columbia to William and Rosa (Benedict) Nichols. She married Wallace Robinson on Sept. 1, 1946.
Mrs. Robinson’s hobbies were bowling, fishing and playing cards, but what she enjoyed most was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by two daughters, Carmen Brown and Irene Ethington, both of Columbia; one son-in-law, Lawrence Baker; one daughter-in-law, Bev Robinson; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Wallace Robinson; one daughter, Anna Baker; one son, Carl Robinson; two brothers; five sisters; and granddaughter, Angela Lynn Robinson, died earlier.
Services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Friday at Charity Baptist Church, 1401 N. Ballenger Lane. A reception will follow.
