Jayden Kai Haas

Jayden Kai Haas of Hallsville died Saturday, March 5, 2011, at MU Women’s and Children’s Hospital. He was 2.

He was born Aug. 6, 2008, in Columbia to Chris Enyart and Megan Haas.

Jayden loved people, and he was willing to share his toys, candy or anything else he had, his mother said. He wanted to help with everything from taking out the garbage to bringing in groceries. No matter what he was doing, he was always ready to give a hug or a kiss, and he would hold his mother whenever she asked.

“He was a gentle soul,” Haas said.

Jayden loved tractors, trucks, buses and any other big vehicle, and he wanted to ride in a big truck. He was a boy through and through, and loved climbing and running, Haas said. When anyone bothered his 9-year-old sister, he tried to protect her even though he was little.

“He was going to be a good man,” Haas said.

He is survived by his parents, Chris Enyart and Megan Haas; a sister, Mia Haas of Hallsville; his paternal grandparents, Carl Enyart of Boonville and James Ella Enyart of Centralia; his maternal grandparents, Alan and Noreen Haas of Centralia; and his parental great-grandparents, Katherine Enyart of Armstrong and Fannie Williams of Centralia.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel, 1610 N. Garth Ave. in Columbia. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. The burial will be at Columbia Cemetery.
