Joan Louise Lehr

COLUMBIA — Joan Louise Lehr enjoyed boating, dancing, gospel music and skiing.

Mrs. Lehr died on Sunday, April 3, 2011. She was 76.

Mrs. Lehr was born July 18, 1934, in Drumwright, Okla., to Robert and Louise (McBride) Mitzer.

She married Gerald Lehr in 1978 in Kansas City.

Mrs. Lehr enjoyed a career as a real estate broker. She loved her husband and children and was proud of her family. She spent the last 24 years in Columbia and enjoyed spending time at the Oakland Senior Center.

Mrs. Lehr is survived by her husband, Gerald; her children, Ron Meisenheimer and fiance, Lena, of Kansas City, Ken Meisenheimer and wife, Tammy, of Lenexa, Kan., Pam Meisenheimer of Columbia, and David Meisenheimer and wife, Kellie, of Buckeye, Ariz; stepchildren, Yvonne Prince and husband, Tim, of Salem, Becky Loftus and husband, Dale, of Ashland, Neb., and Tania Mantle and husband, Aaron, of Columbia; a sister, Shirley Peck of Arlington, Texas; 20 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Missouri River Hospice and Integrity Home Care. They also send a special thanks to Pam Meisenheimer for taking care of Mrs. Lehr.

A visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. A second visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., in Kansas City.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Floral Hills Funeral Home.
