Charlie Beldon "C.B." Miller

Charlie Beldon "C.B." Miller Jr. of Harrisburg enjoyed fishing and a quiet home life. He kept a garden and liked to cook.

Mr. Miller died Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Parkside Manor. He was 79.

He was born June 19, 1931, to Charles Beldon Miller and Eliza Belle (Breedlove) Miller at his family's home in Boone County.

In 1952, Mr. Miller married Rosie Louise Sims. He was an Army veteran who served during the Korean War.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife; a brother, Jesse "Dub" Miller; a son, Danny Miller, and wife, Fay, of Harrisburg; a daughter, Pamela Hurd, and husband, Mark, of Columbia; four grandchildren, Marie Bradshaw of Harrisburg, Amanda Coleman of Kentucky, and Kayla Miller and Reba Hurd, both of Columbia; and two great-grandchildren, Chase and Samantha Bradshaw of Harrisburg.

A brother, Ralph Miller, and a sister, Hattie May Miller, died earlier.

Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. on April 11 at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the same location.

Memorial donations may be made to the Central Missouri Honor Flight, 1400 Forum Blvd., Ste. 38, Box 334, Columbia, MO 65203. Checks should be made payable to Central MO Honor Flight c/o VFW Post 280. Donations may also be made to Harrisburg Christian Church, 201 E. Sexton St., Harrisburg, MO 65256.
