Judy Morgan
COLUMBIA — Judy C. Morgan of Columbia died Thursday, May 5, 2011. She was 71.
She was born Nov. 21, 1939, in Canton, Ill., to Charles and Ruth (Spires) Croessman.
She married John T. Morgan in July 1960.
Mrs. Morgan graduated from nursing school at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis in 1960. She was a registered nurse and worked at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, then Columbia HealthCare Center until her retirement in 1992.
Mrs. Morgan and her husband enjoyed spending winters in Fort Myers, Fla., a habit they adopted in 2002. Mrs. Morgan was passionate about collecting thimbles, shelling on Sanibel Island and her grandchildren.
Mrs. Morgan is survived by her husband, John Morgan; two sons, Scott Morgan and wife, Cindy, and Gregg Morgan and wife, Amy; three grandchildren, Lindsey Morgan, Ian Morgan and Phobe Morgan; and a niece, Pam Hays and husband, Scott, all of Columbia.
Her parents died earlier.
Services will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Parker Funeral Service, 22 N. Tenth St.
