Linda K. Currier
COLUMBIA — Linda K. Currier died on Saturday, June 25, 2011. She was 59.
Linda K. Currier was born Nov. 27, 1951, in Pontiac, Ill., to Harriet M. Drinan and Arthur G. Rohlfs. She recently celebrated her 20th wedding anniversary with her husband, Michael.
Mrs. Currier received a bachelor’s degree in education from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in early childhood education from MU.
She was a teacher at the Montessori School in Columbia for seven years and started the 9th St Preschool. She was also a member of the board of the Jefferson City Figure Skating Club.
Mrs. Currier is survived by her husband, Michael; her daughter, Cailin; her son, Alexander; two sisters, Kathleen A. Wiemken and her husband, Norval, of Dwight, Ill., and Marcia J. Nicholls of Charlotte, N.C.; four nieces, Amanda, Alyson, Mary and Sarah; and two nephews, Joey and Sean.
Her father and her brother, William G. Rohlfs, died earlier.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Episcopal Church, 123 S. Ninth St.
