Billy Lee Dibben ran Dibben's Store, a Harrisburg gas station and convenient store, for 23 years.
Sandy Dibben, his wife of 50 years, said he could strike up a conversation or express an opinion about anything. He enjoyed getting to meet and know new people.
Mr. Dibben, of Harrisburg, died Monday, June 27, 2011. He was 69.
He was born May 28, 1942, in Lebanon, Mo., to W.L. Dibben and Iola (Crozier) Dibben.
Mr. Dibben served in the Navy and enjoyed hunting, fishing and arrowhead hunting.
His wife said he was a family-first man and was very involved with his children.
Mr. Dibben is survived by his wife, Sandy; a daughter, Jody of Harrisburg; two sons, Dalen and Nathanial, both of Columbia; two sisters, Norma of Urbana, Mo., and Sharon of Kansas; a brother, Wayne and his wife Jackie of Buellton, Calif.; grandchildren Amanda, Christopher, Johnathon, Hannah, Gavin and Emilia; great-grandchildren Victoria, Benjamin and Tehya; and numerous nieces and nephews.
His sister Jody died earlier.
No services will be held.
