Donald J. Snedeker
Donald J. Snedeker died on Aug. 15, 2011. He was 56.
He was born Feb. 5, 1955, in San Jose, Costa Rica, to Methodist missionaries, James and Gladys Snedeker. Mr. Snedeker then moved to Uruguay. After receiving his education at the American Community High School in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he completed his bachelor’s degree at Central Methodist College in Fayette.
He was a member and president of the Cosmopolitan Club of Columbia, a club that participates in fundraising and donates to nonprofit organizations in Columbia, such as the Cosmopolitan Diabetes Center, Boone County Council on Aging and Rainbow House. Mr. Snedeker organized the Fourth of July fireworks events.
Mr. Snedeker was the owner and manager of Missouri Stairway Lift Corp. The company's website said he was “the hardest working project manager in the business.”
He enjoyed having adventures with his friends and family, such as traveling and hunting.
Mr. Snedeker dedicated himself to many community efforts. To those who shared his life, including his mother, Gladys Snedeker, two sisters, Norma Jean Smith and Grace Chandler, and their families, and his cat Señor Gato, memories are forever.
