Daniel Case

Daniel Case, a man known for his work in the southern Boone County community, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, in his home. He was 64.

Mr. Case was born March 19, 1947, to Arthur and Annette (Alsop) Case.

Mr. Case enriched the lives of lifelong friends, neighbors and clients from his years of excavating work in southern Boone County. He will be remembered by friends and family as a man who was generous with his time, his expertise, his advice and his friendship. His loyalty, ingenuity and willingness to help others made him a one-of-a-kind person and an example of an independent life that was fully lived.

Mr. Case is survived by his wife, Ivy White Case; his daughter, Nancy Ann Brush, and her children; his stepson, Levi Soderstrom, and his son; his mother, Annette Alsop Case; his brother, Arthur Case; his two sisters, Nancy Case and Elizabeth Pan Case; and his niece, Anne Case Halferty.

His father, Dr. Arthur Case, died earlier.

A gathering to celebrate and remember Mr. Case's life is planned for the near future. Memorial contributions can be made to the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation, 1317 King St., Alexandria, VA 22314.
