Missouria Ann Reed
COLUMBIA— Missouria Ann Reed of Columbia died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011. She was 78.
Mrs. Reed was born on July 18, 1933 in Marks, Miss. to Robert Lee and Fanny Ann Gordon.
She was the oldest of ten children, and was a mother figure for many of her younger siblings.
In January 1958, she married William Clifford Reed. They had two children, Wendy and Wayne.
Mrs. Reed is survived by her daughter, Wendy Reed of Columbia; eight siblings, Florida Spearman, Robert Gordon, Eleanor Murrill, Oliver Gordon, Peggy McGill all of Chicago, Joseph Gordon of Cocoa, Fla., Susie Gordon of Munster, Ind., and Henry Gordon of Miami, Fla.; a half-sister, Alice Ruckus of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Phillip Murrill; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Gordon and Jermaine Gordon both of Chicago; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Her parents, son, and sister, Georgia Gordon, died earlier.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W.
