Jack M. Curry
Jack M. Curry of Columbia died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011. He was 80.
He was born Aug. 21, 1931, in Auxvasse to Nelson and Ruth Curry. Twenty-one years later, on Sept. 20, 1952, in Jefferson City, Mr. Curry married Dolores Mueller, who survives him.
Throughout his life, Curry was friendly and had a love for storytelling and fishing. He worked at a phone company as an installation and repair technician for more than 40 years. After retiring from the company, he enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren.
Curry is also survived by his six children, Larry Joe Curry of Columbia, Brenda Zimmer of Hallsville, Mike Curry of Dunnegan, Debbie Woods of Hallsville, James Curry of Columbia and Jacqueline Curry Greensberg, Ky., 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, his father, Nelson, and two brothers, Jesse and Jerry.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the start of service Monday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. The service begins at 7 p.m at the funeral home.
