Lucille Helen Ferguson

Lucille Helen Ferguson of Columbia died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012. She was 90.

She was born on June 22, 1921, in Woodlandville, Mo., to Roy Hagan and Lena Coffman Long. She graduated from Hallsville High School in 1941.

She married Austin Darrell Ferguson on Jan. 23, 1946, in Columbia.

Mrs. Ferguson worked as a medical secretary and receptionist for more than 36 years.

Mrs. Ferguson was a member of the Northwood Baptist Church in Columbia.

Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her three sons: Roy Ferguson and his wife, Vicki, of Emporia, Kan., Ron Ferguson, of Columbia, and Rick Ferguson and his wife, Megan, of Boise, Idaho; and seven grandchildren, Mike, Chris, Tony, Robin, Lindsay, Lucy and Maggie; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Austin; two sisters, Opal Tatinger and Mary Davies; and three brothers, Aubrey Long, Rufus Long and Ralph Long, died earlier.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bach-Yager Funeral Chapel, 1610 N. Garth Ave. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 1217 Business Loop 70 W.
