Romilda Klaus of Columbia died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at The Bluffs. She was 88.
She was born Oct. 10, 1919, in Hays, Kan., to Henry Vincent and Mary (Boos) Ruder.
She married Edgar Klaus on April 22, 1941.
Mrs. Klaus moved to Columbia in 1972 and worked at Shelter Insurance Cos. until her retirement.
Mrs. Klaus is survived by a daughter, Rosemary Allen of Columbia; a son, Daniel Klaus of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a sister, Sister Celestine Ruder of Concordia, Kan.; a brother, Celestine Ruder of Kearney, Neb.; two granddaughters, Adria Allen of Columbia and Dana McSorley of Canton; and one great-grandson, Roy “Mac” McSorley IV of Canton.
Her husband; a daughter, Phyllis Jane; two sisters, Alvina Bracco and Mary Louise Ruder; and six brothers, Fidelis, Nick, Wilford, Herbert, Robert and Donald Klaus, died earlier.
Services will be held at a later date in Hays, Kan.
