Iris Robinson

COLUMBIA — Iris Robinson of Ashland died Wednesday, April 23, 2008. She was 82.
Mrs. Robinson was born Oct. 6, 1925, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, to Gregorio and Ramona Cortez Arroya. She married James Odus Robinson on Jan. 1, 1947, in Ponce.
Mrs. Robinson retired from the MU Print Department and also worked as an aid at Ashland Healthcare.
She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Smith of Hartsburg and Yvonne Ball of Columbia; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Her husband; daughter, Diana Perkins; and granddaughter, Julia Weldon, died earlier.
Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home, 601 N. Henry Clay Blvd., Ashland. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rocheport Cemetery.
Envelopes will be available at the service for memorial contributions to the American Cancer Assocation. Other contributions can be made to the cancer research program of your choosing.
